We are a first generation family-owned farm. We have a passion for growing produce using better seeds, soil, and practices than what is standard today. Our seeds are organic or heirloom varieties, our soil is comprised of compost and organic amendments, and we tenderly care for our fruits and vegetables throughout the entire life cycle. 🥗 Snack plates 🥗

Are you looking for ways to make sure that you use all of your produce from our CSA boxes? Make a snack plate 🤩 One of our CSA members @khubbz89 makes a weekly snack plate, and it looks delicious! This one featured our greens, sugar snap peas, and a lemon dill dressing 🤤

🧄 Garlic Harvest 🧄

The time we have been waiting for has finally come! Around 700-800 bulbs of German hardneck garlic have been harvested and are curing for the next few weeks. These seeds were planted in November of last year, and we harvested the garlic scapes about a month ago - this shifts all of the energy away from the flowering scape and toward the bulb to produce those big, beautiful garlic bulbs that we have missed so much! We are including uncured garlic in our CSA boxes and have been enjoying some ourselves as well 😊 We are planning to make a couple batches of roasted garlic and jalapeño fermented cucumbers along with kimchi inspired sauerkraut with this garlic, and probably many more ferments 🤩 How are you using your garlic harvest this year? 🧄

🍅 Tomato Sunday 🍅

We trellised all 33 of our tomatoes today! Farmer Bernard just needs to come back and prune them to improve the airflow between each plant 🤩 We are growing a variety of tomatoes - some near and dear to our hearts, some new that we are excited about!

✨ Vanilla Currant Drop Scones ✨

This may just be our favorite way to enjoy black currants 🤩 One of our CSA members shared this recipe with us last year! We have been looking forward to making them again and sharing the recipe with you! These tart berries will be in our CSA boxes for the next few weeks, and you can find them in @agricolefarmstop this week!

Ingredients:
2 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 tbsp butter, melted
2/3 cup black currants
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
Course sugar for topping

Instructions
1.In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
2.In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the egg mixture, then add the melted butter and vanilla. Gentle fold the mixture until it just comes together, then fold in the currants.
3.Drop heaping tablespoons onto a baking sheet with parchment paper (should make 8-12 scones) and top with course sugar. Bake at 425 F for 13-15 minutes.

🤩 Agrifest 2026 🤩

There was a wonderful turnout at @agricolefarmstop 's first Agrifest! We are so happy to have been a part of this event 😊 If you didn't stop by today, you can still support their community initiative "Our Neighbor's Basket" by donating a box or rounding up at the register!

This was our view this morning at the farm while we harvested black currants, herbs, and greens for Agrifest at @agricolefarmstop 🤩 Stop by today between 9am-2pm to gather with community, enjoy local produce, and support an amazing cause! This event is a fundraiser for their initiative "Our Neighbor's Basket," providing weekly CSA boxes to Chelsea residents in need. We hope to see you there today! 😊

✨ Sesame Chicken & Sweet Potato Herbaceous Salad ✨

Here is some inspiration for this week's CSA boxes! We make this at least every other week, if not more often! It uses our kale, arugula, basil, dill, and parsley. If you're meal-prepping this for the week, we suggest keeping the dressing separate and drizzling it on top when you're ready to eat. We hope you love it 🤩

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
1 large or 2 medium sweet potatoes (cut into fries)
4 tbsp olive oil
Salt
Pepper
1-2 lb chicken (breasts - cut in half or thighs)
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp sesame seeds
White Russian kale (bunch) - de-stemmed & chopped*
1/2 bunch basil, chopped*
1/2 bunch dill, chopped*
1/2 bunch parsley, chopped*
Esmee arugula (1/2 bag) - chopped*

Tahini dressing
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
2 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 425°F.
2.Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil, season with salt and pepper, toss together. Bake for 10 minutes.
3.In a bowl, add 2 tbsp olive oil, chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix together, then add the chicken and mix again to fully coat.
4.Flip the sweet potatoes. Create spaces for the chicken to nestle around the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle sesame seeds on each piece of chicken. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked.
5.Make the dressing by adding the ingredients to a jar and shaking until fully combined. Combine the kale, arugula, basil, dill, and parsley in a bowl and mix together. Add half of the dressing and massage into the greens. Evenly divide the greens into 4 bowls.
6.Remove the chicken and sweet potatoes from the oven. Slice the chicken. Divide the sweet potato fries on top of the greens in each bowl, top with sliced chicken, and drizzle with more dressing.

🌞 Agrifest 2026 🌞

We are excited to announce that we will be vendors at Agrifest this year 🤩 This is a fundraising event hosted by @agricolefarmstop to fund their community initiative, Our Neighbor's Basket. The program provides weekly CSA meal kits to Chelsea residents - increasing access to fresh, local produce to those in need!

We will be set up Farmer's Market style with all of our freshly harvested produce! There will be other farmers, along with food and artisan vendors. We are so happy to be a part of this, and we can't wait to see you there 😊
