We are a first generation family-owned farm. We have a passion for growing produce using better seeds, soil, and practices than what is standard today. Our seeds are organic or heirloom varieties, our soil is comprised of compost and organic amendments, and we tenderly care for our fruits and vegetables throughout the entire life cycle. 🍳 Baked eggs with sunflower shoots 🌱

Are you looking for a delicious way to enjoy our sunflower shoots? Our microgreen CSA member @khubbz89 made the most scrumptious baked eggs!

🌱 Our seeds have sprouted 🌱

Farming season has begun! We are starting seeds, getting our raised beds ready, and already getting some seeds directly planted into the earth. We are grateful for another year to learn more and provide fresh, naturally grown produce to our local community! Our weekly CSA will begin late May/early June, stay tuned for our spring offerings and more information about our CSA boxes! ✨

🍜 Miso ramen with a soft-boiled egg & sunflower microgreens 🍜

This miso ramen was so delicious and easy to make for a quick lunch ✨ We used beef broth made from cooking a roast along with some fresh garlic and ginger, red miso paste, gochugaru, soy sauce, and sesame oil. This simmered while we made the soft-boiled eggs, then the ramen noodles. Everything was combined together, and topped with green onions, sunflower shoots, and sesame seeds 🌱

🌱 Microgreen CSA 🌱

We will still be offering our microgreen CSA for another couple months before our field crop CSA begins! We do plan to include microgreens within our weekly boxes since they have been popular during our off-season. Being out on the farm almost everyday is so close to becoming part of our rhythm, and we are super excited 😊 Our newest farmer just learned how to walk a month ago, he is eager to start running through the grass and playing in the dirt with mama and dada 🩵

🥩 Steak Fajitas 🥩

What a perfect way to use microgreens 😋 We have recently added cilantro microgreens to our offerings for the winter CSA! One of our members, @khubbz89 , made delicious steak fajitas topped with our radish and cilantro microgreens 🌱 Our mouths are watering by just looking at this photo!

Take a little tour through our microgreen offerings ✨ Broccoli ➡️ Cilantro ➡️ Rambo Radish ➡️ Daikon Radish ➡️ Sunflower shoots. These are the best substitute for lettuce in the winter months, they are nutrient dense and add so much flavor to every meal! Microgreens are a wonderful addition to any meal! Whether you are eating a salad, sandwich, or soup, they are a great way to get extra vitamins and minerals. They actually have more nutrients than the fully grown plants! Pictured are our sunflower shoots, Purple Rambo radish microgreens, and Di Cicco broccoli microgreens ✨

✨ 2024 ✨

This past year has been unforgettable! We have experienced many firsts, gone through highs and lows, and learned so much. We started off with plans of providing organic produce to our community, but our neighbors and township were not as enthusiastic about our plans. We found a new location to grow our fruits and vegetables, and created a beautiful community of people to grow with! We became parents to the most amazing baby boy and added our newest farmer to Plant Better Farms 🩵 We attended our first farmers market, started our first season of CSA deliveries, and are already making plans to have 2025 be even better. We love what we do, and we hope that you get the opportunity to enjoy our fruits, vegetables, and maybe even prepared foods soon 😉 We are grateful for all that 2024 taught us, and we hope 2025 is full of abundance!
